Walk Inniú goes Walk Anocht!!!
(Walk Today goes Walk Tonight)
This years Earth Hour takes place on Saturday the 25th of March 2017. Walk Inniú is delighted to have been invited by the ‘Into the Night’ project and Valentine Seymour of London’s Farr Institute of Health Informatics to facilitate our Ecotherapy Hedge School as a mark of solidarity for action on climate change.
This free ‘Hedge School’ will include a silent mindful hour together outdoors to acknowledge our own process in relation to the continued destruction of our planet and will take place in the quietness of the park where we can collectively rest in the dark natural space.
Light pollution affects both us humans and other-than-human nature.
Join us on the 25th of March where we will explore how our wellbeing is affected by “excessive, poorly directed or unnecessary artificial light at night” (Into the Night). By attending, you will be taking part in an international survey which will further enhance our understanding of how light pollution not alone is a cause of climate change but is bad for our health.
Make sure you wear warm suitable clothing and footwear(keeping the weather in mind) and note that the responsibility of walking in the park in the darkness is your own. (This event is open to adults only 18+).
Do it for yourself, do it for the planet… you are one and the same!
Feel free to contact me at email@example.com or on 086 033 99 33 to enquire about our next scheduled Hedge School and our Winter Walk and Talk.

Wellness Discussion and Introduction to Ecotherapy and Ecopsychology
Join us for our 2016/17 series of ‘Winter Walk and Talks’ where along with enjoying the company of other Nature lovers like yourself – you will receive a beneficial and uplifting introduction to the concepts of ecotherapy and ecopsychology – all facilitated in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Learn how nature can help you to grow, heal and learn. Find out more (if you like) about Wilson’s Biophilia Hypothesis, Louv’s humorous take on ‘Nature Deficit Disorder’ and the work of Theodore Roszak – all undertaken whilst we explore, notice and allow the beauty of the season to mindfully call us back to the ‘here and now’, calling us back from the often busy and tiring ‘doing mode’.
And yes for sure we treat ourselves to a hot ‘cup-of-something’ together before we set off on our ramble…
These positive, relaxed and light-hearted walks take place in various large Dublin City Parks, between 11.00am and 14.00pm – Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for details of our next scheduled walk.
Please book and pay below (making sure to tell us on which date you wish to attend – we will reply to you with all your meet-up details and send you a free Eco – route guide to Dublin City) or contact us if you need more information.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Refunds: We will refund your booking fee in total if the Winter Walk and Talk is cancelled or rescheduled. And please don’t worry if your plans change and you can’t make it on the day – as long as you let us know by email beforehand we can book you onto another Winter Walk and Talk at your convenience.
