You spend so much of your time in the workplace, often spending more time with work colleagues than family. Is this what you imagined your work life would be? Are you happy? Are you joyful in your work? We must always be doing what we want to be doing. But to ‘do’ it is important to learn how to ‘be’. The expectations of others, particularly those of our family, our loved-ones and our peers have a knack of ‘sticking’ and we may forget what it is we really, really want. And in the meantime – time passes on.
Growing up, we all had dreams and ambitions and imagined our future careers, albeit often through rose tinted spectacles. However, workplace feelings of being ‘stuck’ may remind us of goals or plans we had in our earlier life – plans that somehow faded into the past, leaving us with feelings of uncertainty, boredom or even fear.

The original Ecotherapy Hedge School is situated in the secluded and beautiful hills of southwest county Dublin but most workshops are facilitated in the great expanse of the Phoenix Park.
Check the weather and dress accordingly – ‘it’s not a fashion show’ so wear layers of whatever you feel comfortable in. The Hedge School is situated to enjoy the sun so you may need sun cream, cap, or sunglasses. Whilst there is some shelter available, we are open to the elements as we are outdoors so wear comfortable walking footwear in the knowledge that we may be walking in some mud if it has been wet and through long grass etc. Bring a light lunch/snack and plenty of water for your picnic break. If you like to journal, make diary entries, take notes or sketch, feel free to bring along your writing or creative material. Most important of all – bring yourself as you are.
